Football or Soccer as it is called in North America is the most played and watched sport in the World. In many of the developing countries, football is seen as a way to remove the person and their families to a better way of life. But, recently, professional football has taken a nose dive in sportsmanship that has ebbed its way down to grass root level.In sport it’s not just the rules that govern the mode of play; there is also the etiquette which underlies the spirit of the game.Players routinely report an accidental misdemeanor which they have committed while out of sight of any observer. They are then penalised so that no advantage is obtained. It’s called being fair. To see this occur sends tingles down my spine and deeply enhances my appreciation of the game and of life itself.

Football is the source of most bad gamesmanship. There is barely any etiquette left in the game at all and it seems that this attitude of winning at all costs is seeping into other sports. It should be the other way round and that the good manners within golf were the source of inspiration for all of the sporting fraternity.In a few weeks the new football season begins and what a contrast this will be. There will be abuse and physical violence on and off the pitch, petulance will be rife and cheating will be routine.

Out of Town Tournaments For Youth Football Teams

Out of town youth football tournaments are an excellent end of season treat for many youth football teams. Pop Warner, AYF and other organizations have regional and national title programs that are the goal of many youth football coaches in those leagues.

When I played youth football, our team traveled to Las Vegas, Kansas City, Nashville and Atlanta to play in tournaments. It was a great way to see how we stacked up to competition outside Nebraska. I still can recall those memories, losing just one of those games in overtime in Las Vegas to an all-star team from California.What are these tournaments like and as a youth football coach should my teams play in one? Coaching youth football means having a lot of influence on deciding to take these games or not.

There are more independent youth football organizations than Pop Warner and AFL combined and the independents play in various youth football tournaments throughout the USA. The tournaments vary in size and quality as does anything in life. That is one of the big advantages of the Pop Warner National Tournament, you know that the weekend will be a quality event and the rules will be enforced.

Most of these tournaments are done over the Thanksgiving Holiday and your team plays 2-3 games. Your football team is put in a bracket based on pre-set age and sometimes weight restrictions. Most tournaments have gone to unlimited weight with running back weights, with a few still having some total weight restricted divisions.

Back in my day, we lived in a different society and lived under different rules. We would play youth football teams from all over the country right here in Omaha at seasons end. The opposing players would stay in our homes during their stay.Our family made some life long friends through this process. I will never forget flying to Las Vegas in 1973, this being the first exciting plane ride for about 90% of our players.

Useful tips for the newcomers in this game are, to make them hard enough to practice the games rules and regulations. Yellow card and then red card is frustrating for the players and the player should have tolerance to bear it. We in present living in computer age love to play and see football match live rather than sitting at home or office and enjoying popcorn. Football is equally played in colleges. Be well aware of all technical guidelines. Follow the rules that are implemented internationally so that the day may come in one life that one is selected to national team to represent its country.

Golf is the type of sport that everyone is familiar of but not everyone knows how to play it. Somehow, there is a certain need in every single person to at least learn how to play golf. Though it is one of the most boring sports that are known to man, golf has so many advantages.

Finding the need to learn golf is actually a good thing, golf actually relaxes you. The great thing about golf is that there is no room for stress or pressure or even pain. It is a simple, quiet and relaxing sport. If you are the type of person who just wants a quiet and reserved time for your thoughts, then golf is definitely a sport for you. Some people do not have any sports. Seriously, some are not born athletic, well; everyone is different, and everyone has a sport. If basketball, hockey, tennis, badminton, volleyball is not the sport for you, maybe golf is; might as well try to learn to play golf to know right? Being able to relax is a very important thing when you want to learn to play golf. It is because golf requires so much relaxation rather than irritation.

Golf is basically a very positive sport because stress must at all times be absent in golf-that is why people call this sport boring because there is no excitement at all – wrong, every sport has it’s excitement, you cannot judge what kind of golfer feels once they are able to shoot the ball in the whole. An achievement, something that is rewarding, so there is still that rush of fulfillment involved in golf; but then again, it will completely be based on the personality of the golfer because if he or she wants a quiet time for herself-then golf is definitely for you!
